Scottish Dave's FNQ Rollerdoors was started in 2021 when Dave McCorquodale decided it was time to put his years of experience installing and servicing roller doors to use and start a business that was more aligned to his values. Servicing Far North Queensland with reliable, quality experience is Dave’s dream.

Dave McCorquodale

Director and Roller Door Technician

Dave was born near Glasgow in Scotland where he lived until he moved to Australia in 2019.


Whilst living in Scotland, his brother-in-law asked him to work in his garage door business which serviced Glasgow and Edinburgh. Dave took up the offer and worked as a roller door technician for more than 4 years. Upon moving to Australia, he worked for another roller door company in Townsville and then another when he moved to Cairns.  He was involved in big projects such as installing doors on the new Cowboys Stadium in Townsville.


When he’s not servicing and repairing roller doors, Dave can usually be found watching football/soccer or at the gym.
